Kunsthaus Zürich

The individual wings of the Kunsthaus Zürich were gradually renovated in six stages between 2000 and 2005 and adapted to meet new requirements.

Complete renovation of Kunsthaus Zürich

All parts of the building were upgraded and reinforced against seismic impact where necessary. Access routes and technical installations were updated and renewed to meet current needs. This required the installation of new elevators and staircases as well as large wall and ceiling openings. The old glass roofs were replaced with heavier laminated safety glass or insulating glass. The delicate steel construction of the roofs had to be adapted and reinforced for the new loads.
