Hirslanden Hospital, Zurich

As part of the strategy for the Zurich location, the Garden Wing was completed in 2007 and the new Enzenbühl Wing in 2011 for the Hirslanden Group.

Expansion of Hirslanden Hospital, Zurich

The Garden Wing is a five-story new building with a floor plan area of 80 x 55 m located in the inner courtyard of the existing hospital site. The Enzenbühl Wing comprises eight stories on a floor plan area of 90 x 17 m.

Both new buildings were constructed as grid structures in reinforced concrete, allowing for high flexibility of use. Due to slope water and a pressurized groundwater table, extensive buoyancy control measures were required, consisting of a pressure relief layer under the floor slab and permanent buoyancy anchors.
