Thur Wooden Bridge, Andelfingen

The historically valuable wooden bridge over the Thur was built in 1814/15 and has since connected the districts of Andelfingen and Kleinandelfingen. To ensure the bridge's preservation and its continued important function for regional traffic, various structural reinforcement measures were carried out in 2018.

The two parallel wooden bridges span the Thur as two-span girders, each with a span of 33m.
The main supporting structure of the bridges consists of two truss systems.
Between 2015 and 2017, the bridge underwent a structural inspection, and the necessary reinforcement measures were planned. The implementation of these measures, which included strengthening the truss struts, portal frames, and wind bracing, took place in 2018.
